Inside the Madhouse (1887)

In 1887, 23-year-old Nellie Bly walked into a New York asylum, pretending to be insane. What she found there would change her, and journalism, forever. INSIDE THE MADHOUSE (1887) follows the young reporter as she goes undercover inside the Women’s Lunatic Asylum on Blackwell’s Island, where neglect, cruelty, and abuse have been hidden safely behind locked doors.
